In my many years of employment starting from my high school days, I have always been committed to projects and the people I served. Starting with a small rural community in Nova Scotia, I built a small business in garbage collection while still attending school. I did this along with my duties on the family farm. I grew into a responsible decision maker leading to the success and future of the farm. The many long days of work, combined with getting my certificate in Business Administration at King Count Vocational, has given me the bases for good work ethics and time management.

In 1970, I began my professional career with F. W. Woolworth Ltd. (Retail Store div.) Rising to Divisional Manager within a three year period. Leaving in 1978 to create my own company in the transportation industry and in 1993 accepted a position with Brookville Transport Ltd.  as manager of Owner Operator Relations. During my tenure I completely revamped the relationship of contract services from owner operators to Brookville Transport Ltd. Through programs partnering with the parent company and owner operator’s I was able to grow the fleet from 325 units to 729 by 1997. In 1997 I joined Bayview Trucks and Equipment as a sales consultant and achieving Diamond Club recognition in 1999 and 2000. This award is presented for having highest volume sales for Eastern Canada By 2005 I was appointed Vice president of Sales and Leasing. During my tenure with Bayview Trucks and Equipment Ltd.  I was appointed to committees to provide input on style and design features of equipment manufactured by Navistar Corp. and also appointed to sit on committees to give input into procedures to better organize the Idealease structure at the dealer level to better service the customer and to standardize dealer level best practice. In 2010 I was recognized by PacLease ( Division of Paccar ) for most improved PacLease franchise In Easter Canada achieving a 55% marginal increase. I lead the direct sales team to consistent years of high market share and growth.  Planned and Organized first and only Liquid and compressed natural gas three day symposium in Atlantic Provinces bringing together major decision making players to discuss future of natural gas equipment , focusing on ROI and infrastructure of natural gas to the transportation sector.
In 2013 I retired, bought a tractor with a snow blower and backhoe. Being from a farm back ground I promised myself I would someday have a tractor again.  I really enjoy this toy and it has produced many new friends in my neighbourhood.

In 2014 wanting more out of life I acquired my Real Estate Licence. I joined Coldwell Banker Select Realty and so far am enjoying this new field. Real Estate is people orientated which I love.

I enjoy a challenge, I enjoy working with people, I enjoyed the transportation industry I was involved with for so many years and most of all I enjoy the friends I have made and looking forward to all the new friends I will make in Real Estate.
